Zentrik + Granola
Bring selected Granola notes and transcripts into Discovery as reviewed, traceable signal.
Admins save one workspace credential in Settings → Integrations.
Granola connects with a workspace API key saved by an admin. Zentrik uses that key server-side to list accessible notes, preview the combined note and transcript text, and import only the notes you select.
Use this integration when meeting notes already live in Granola and your product team wants selected customer conversations to become durable Discovery evidence. Imported Granola notes become Discovery signals first, then run through the normal signal-to-insight workflow.
Before you connect
Pick the Granola API key owner intentionally. The key controls which notes Zentrik can list, preview, and import.
Before saving the key:
- Confirm the notes are visible to the account or workspace key you will connect.
- Confirm your team is allowed to bring those conversations into Zentrik for product discovery.
- Decide the first import window and, when helpful, the Granola folders to limit the review list.
Connect Granola
Create the integration in Settings -> Integrations -> Granola and paste a Granola API key with access to the notes your product team should import.
API key
- Open Granola.
- Go to Settings -> Connectors -> API keys.
- Create a key with the note access scopes this Zentrik workspace should use.
- In Zentrik, open Settings -> Integrations -> Granola.
- Paste the API key and save.
Secrets are stored server-side; Zentrik does not show them again after save. Rotate the key in Granola and update Zentrik if the key may have been exposed.

How to use it
Open Discovery, click New, choose Bring in data, and select Granola. Pick a date range, optionally choose one or more folders, then review the matching notes before importing. Workspace admins can also configure periodic folder imports from Settings -> Integrations -> Granola.
Import notes
- Choose the date range that contains the conversations you want to evaluate.
- Optionally choose one or more Granola folders to restrict the note list.
- Click Find notes.
- Review the results. Already-imported notes are marked.
- Preview a note when you need to confirm it contains useful product signal.
- Select only the ready notes that should become Discovery signals.
- Click Import selected.
After import, Zentrik stores the Granola note summary, transcript text, owner/calendar metadata, folder metadata, and source link when Granola provides one. The signal then processes in the background so insights can be proposed and traced back to the original meeting.
Schedule folder imports
- Open Settings -> Integrations -> Granola.
- In Periodic signal import, turn on the schedule.
- Choose one or more Granola folders. The schedule only imports notes from those folders.
- Choose the destination product for new signals.
- Optionally match accounts only when a Granola attendee email exactly matches a saved account contact. Choose whether notes without a match should import unlinked or wait for manual review.
- Save changes.
Workspace admins own source, routing, and matching rules. Platform administrators own the shared workspace cadence. The integration shows the last run, cursor, errors, and import counts so admins can confirm that the policy is working. Periodic Granola imports advance their cursor only after a successful folder-scoped run.
For workspace admins
- One workspace key keeps imports centralized for v1.
- Workspace admins choose folders, destination product, and deterministic account-linking behavior. The shared workspace cadence is configured by platform administrators.
- Account matching uses exact attendee-email matches against saved account contacts. Zentrik does not infer accounts from meeting titles or email domains.
- The connected Granola key controls what Zentrik can list, preview, and import.
- The key remains server-side. Users importing from Discovery do not see the secret.
- Granola note visibility, sharing, and retention remain the source of truth. If a note is not available to the connected key, Zentrik cannot import it.
- For sensitive conversations, confirm consent and internal data policy before importing notes into Discovery.
Troubleshooting
Check credentials and permissions on both sides first. If you have verified everything and it still fails, contact us with your workspace name and what you tried.
Zentrik cannot connect the API key
Confirm the key is active in Granola, includes access to notes, and was copied without spaces. Then save the integration again.
A note is missing from the import list
Confirm the connected Granola key can access the note, widen the date range, and clear any folder selection. Granola only returns notes available to the key.
The preview is empty
Refresh the list and try again. If the note still has no summary or transcript text available through Granola, it cannot be imported as useful Discovery evidence yet.
